Our client success stories

Project brief…

Mr N of Reigate first came to Heather some 12 years ago, to redesign the hallway and study of his apartment.
She then returned a few years later to help with the lounge, and last year completed a revamp of the hall and master bedroom.

Project solution…

Heather had originally noticed the framed maps dotted around the walls, which she grouped attractively in the hall with a smart warm yellow striped wallpaper by Osborne and Little to set off the colours.

As the hall had been so successful and the client still liked it, Heather suggested a similar wallpaper, this time by Colefax and Fowler, with a lighter feel and interesting detail to the stripe. Taking the ceiling and woodwork up a tone to Zoffany Quarter Linen has added to the lighter, brighter feel. Rugs have been specially made in a warm, sandy twist with nutmeg-brown linen binding, which sit beautifully on the polished parquet.
The master bedroom now has a fresh, stylised floral curtain by Jane Churchill. As the client is interested in botanical matters and volunteers at The Millennium Seed bank this particularly appealed to him. Heather has partnered this with a linen-effect nearly-plain wallpaper from Colefax in a soft yellow to flow through from the hallway. Teal linen for the headboard and a washed, slightly faded teal linen for the quilted bedcover, silk light shades on smart chrome bases complete the room.
Heather’s team of decorators, electricians, rug-makers, curtain-makers, quilt-makers and curtains fitters have all been involved in this project, which ran smoothly throughout.
