Our client success stories

Project brief…

The Kent Farmhouse;
Newly renovated and sympathetically extended by the owners, this is a lovely example of combining traditional style with a modern feel. Gaynor and Richard asked Heather to help them with the interior after completing their building works.

Project solution…

Heather quickly got to work on the snug, with a new sofa and chair, interlined curtains, cushions and footstool all in Colefax fabrics. They are now being enjoyed by all the family and it was completed in double-quick time for Christmas as requested!

The master bedroom and ensuite bathroom have a fresh, country feel with an accent of
vibrant aqua which really appeals to Gaynor’s love of clear, fresh colours.

Hallway and landings have a green and cream ‘hops’ print which is in keeping with their Kent countryside views.

The kitchen has a small Colefax & Fowler print which picks up the colours in Gaynor’s hand-painted tiles, setting off the chickens perfectly.

The guest bedroom on the top floor is now completed – clear, light, sunny and ‘jolly’ for their guests, and the Utility room has a fun, quirky print.

In August 2017 we completed the renovation of our 1650 farmhouse in Kent, and after 15 months of this project we were feeling quite exhausted and did not know where to start with the interior design of our home. Heather quite simply lifted our spirits, looked around our home, got to know us and what we wanted to gain from the end result and she gave us a very personal service at every level. Heather is a true professional in the world of interior design with many years of experience which shines through in so many ways. We are absolutely delighted with what we have created with her from choosing the fabrics to create Roman blinds, curtains, cushions to finding and upholstering furniture to suit our style and home. All of the above have been made beautifully and look wonderful. Heather made this whole process very enjoyable and we would thoroughly recommend Gorgeous House Interiors.
